All diesel fuel sold at SIGNAL stores is 100% pure diesel. We do not sell biodiesel. There are many advantages to 100% pure diesel over biodiesel. 100% pure diesel has more energy per unit volume which increases engine power, torque and fuel efficiency by 3-5%. Unlike biodiesel, pure diesel does not cause deposits and clogging and does not deteriorate certain materials in the engine. Pure diesel holds less water which allows filters and lines to remain clear of corrosion and buildup.
Also, known as flex fuel, E-85 is a biofuel consisting of 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline. Primarily derived from renewable resources, E-85 is an eco-friendly choice for environmentally conscious customers which also offers a competitive price point. It is compatible with flex-fuel vehicles as well as some traditional gasoline engines with slight modifications.
E-15 is a biofuel blend consisting of 15% ethanol and 85% gasoline. It represents a greener, more sustainable alternative to traditional gasoline, designed to reduce environmental impact and reliance on fossil fuels. Most newer vehicles manufactured after 2001 are approved for the use of E-15. However, it’s essential to verify this with your vehicles manufacturer.
